On The Subject Of Birthdays

It dawned on me that I will be 64 next month.

Yes, 64!

I am creeping closer and closer to the big seven zero. But I’m not there yet and whilst I think that growing old graciously is the absolutely the way to go, I really don’t think that it’s required to not do anything at all to liven up one’s appearance. I started dying my hair last year, for example, and it’s made such a huge change for the better.

I feel better for it. I have just come back from having fillers done for the very first time. My cheeks were sagging and after a lot of research and consideration, I decided to go for it and took the plunge. As it stands, I think I made the right choice.

I think that once the swelling goes down, I will be able to see if it’s all OK. On the bright side, it was done so quickly and I took our gorgeous new pup for his first grooming! (have a look at their site – it’s chock full of gorgeous puppies and doggies!).

Colourful Knitting

Yes! I know you Brits spell color like colour! Yep, I am learning your ways 🙂 and I love them. What I don’t really love is your weather – dark skies and rain pretty often or just too often for me.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that as you may know by now or not, I love knitting – it passes the time and it’s amazing what can be made. I also really love working with lots and lots of lovely different, vibrant colours (there I go again spelling it properly!). I went shopping yesterday in London’s Covent garden and found a huge range of amazing, high quality yarns! This place rocks! I have never been to Covent garden before and it was just such an amazing, mind blowing time.

I bought around 12 different yarns in so many different colours – green, blue, purple, magenta and so on. I will try to upload some pics of what I make with them later on.

Profoundly Useless At Singing

Hello all! My name is Paula and you can read a little bit about me on this page. 🙂

I’ve been looking for some group to join for a while now, around three months in fact. I’ve been the local library here and asked after groups, but found nothing to my personal taste, I’ve gone online and had a look at the Meet Up groups available but nothing has grabbed my attention just yet. So my daughter asked if I’d like to go to a singing class with her, and I said yep! Why not?!

I have just officially discovered myself to be utterly appalling at singing! I think that I have been blessed with a nice speaking voice, but singing, nope, nope, nope, not at all my forte, sadly!!

I have since found a really great group for knitting via my lovely son, Jake, and we’re both going in October when classes resume. I’m really looking forward to that, I can tell you! If you have a quick read of the about me page, if anyone is interested enough, I used to be a real pro knitter and loved it, still do. It’s so much fun and there’s practically zero limit to what you can make! It’s great! Try it yourself if you ever get a little chance! I can recommend some yarn to use – lots of different colours of course…
